Good overview of the metrics that can be used for monitoring data quality and observability. However, not all the metrics you mention are KPIs. At least the observability, FindOps and GreenOps metrics aren’t KPIs. Remember that for a performance metric to be KPI is to be corroborated with a key objective.

It would be interesting to know how you’ll measure and assess the metrics. For example, query performance is dependent on the selection criteria used and the volume of the data the query accesses. Even if you have SLAs defined, that can get complex with little value. It’s maybe easier to measure how many queries are suboptimal or how many queries needed to be modified in respect to the total number of queries.

The definitions for Accuracy, Completeness and Timeliness need rework as the definitions are circular.

When you consider the format of a piece of data, then you talk about conformity and not consistency. Consistency is usually about the consistency of notation. Frankly, I haven’t understood what you mean by consistency checks and Master Data Management – more context is needed. Also, the section on Data completeness seems to miss something. I’m getting an idea about what you try to say, though there are jumps in understanding between sentences.

Given that some sections need rework, have you considered splitting the content into several posts?
